Progress on the Philippine Mars is flying with the engines already being installed back on the wings. The first chance to see the Philippine Mars up close will be at our Night Ops event, Saturday, June 14, starting at 5pm. We will open the reassembly area for event guests until sunset and there will be Orbis DC-10 Flying Eye Hospital tours running back there too! The first flight of the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane was on this day, May 9, 1962. The U.S. Army ordered it as the CH-54 Tarhe.
